TALKING TO MYSELF Talking to myself and trying to save some old emotion that used to be the colour in my life. Talking to myself and trying to hide my heart's commotion chase away the struggle and the strife Long ago and far away another world on another day poor me, I had a little dream. Now someone come to take my place different name and a different face, oh ey, it wasn't what it seemed and now I'm Talking to myself and trying to save some old emotion that used to be the colour in my life. Talking to myself and trying to hide my heart's commotion chase away the struggle and the strife

Lucky Today 04:20
LUCKY TODAY Tell me a story, my ears are open Paint me a picture, my eyes are peeled Read me the numbers I'm felling lucky today Pour me another, make it a long one Do something crazy, I wanna see Read me the want ads I'm feeling plucky today I've been around for far too long Still I don't seem to know my mind Don't ever ask me what went wrong Don't answer questions of that kind Tell me story, and leave it open No happy endings, I'll only cry Then leave me the money, I'm feeling better today. Buy me a winner, one I can live on Find me an answer that I've never heard Hold me forever I feel so hollow today I've been around for oh so long Still I can't figure out the end No use in asking what went wrong Don't wanna have to play pretend Just tell me a story and as it's fading Ever so quietly, I'll slip away And leave you forever To make what you will of this play. It's only a story But, oh, how it swept us away.

GOD'S GREAT PLAN When you're lying in the sun on a beach in hot Bermuda Where the waiter brings martinis that you sip with elan And you meet some woman with a smile like a barracuda Do you say it's all just part of God's great plan? She drags you up to her 90 square apartment Where she feeds you homemade sushi flown in from Japan And she whispers 'What's inside your secret compartment' Do you say it's all just part of God's great plan? If I told you my name, don't you know I'd be faking It's not that I'm crazy, just a little confused. Look at my hands, they won't stop shaking Would you say it's just the substances I've used? When you're sidewalk surfing on the streets of New York City And some busker plays a tune that make you think of Iran And you fill with the unfamiliar taste of pity Do you say it's all just part of God's great plan? When you're flying through the air on the way to your assignment With a contact calling in from the Gulf of Oman He says the deal is just a question of refinement Do you say it's all just part of God's great plan? When you're vaping by the pool at the post-production party With a young director working on a moonlight tan, In an effort to make sexual repartee Do you say it's all just part of God's great plan? If I told you the time, don't you know I'd be lying Cause I can't even read what's written on my own face Out in the streets there are millions crying Would you say it's just the cost of the human race? When you're lying in the middle of the road in your silk pajamas With your house behind you burning like a cross of the Klan In keeping with the best Tibetan lamas Do you say it's all just part of God's great plan?

ROLL ON SUMMER Here comes the sun. When the sun comes out, girls they get so pretty with their shiny, shiny hair and their witty, witty conversation I believe summer's on the doorstep lounging like a lizard, humming with anticipation. Slow down, let's take it easy, easy pull back on the throttle, my friend. Motown, pumping out the speakers at me, I don't want no aggravation, you can keep your Eminem but I'm a gonna switch the station. Roll on summer. When the days get long and the nights are kinda steamy and you're lying on your bed in a dreamy, dreamy speculation I believe summer's in the starlight, hanging out t midnight, keeping up the population. Lay back, life is just a honey spot. Sweet things are coming your way. Contact, we're going for the money shot. It don't take no concentration, open up your heart and mind and, baby, we can rock the nation. Roll on summer. Freedom is coming round again like long lost friend and I'm always there to say hello. Freedom is like that girl I always said I'd get to know. When the waves roll in and the days a kinda spinny and you're living on the edge of a skinny, skinny reputation. I believe summer's in your pocket, got it in a locket; sunshiny intoxication. Chill out underneath the boardwalk, baby. Don't shout, we're keeping it low. Look out everyone's a little crazy, floating on a colored ocean, rising up and sliding down and slipping into magic motion. Roll on summer. Here comes the sun.

My Town 04:19
MY TOWN I walked out on a blue morning with the sun rising over my town. All about was a world yawning as the dreams dissolved over my town. Hands in my pocket, collar to the wind trying to keep the cold out of my bones. Oil on the pavement, shiny like a skin, how I love what I see and feel in these old stones. Shed my coat with sun climbing and the clouds burning over my town. Seemed to float like a word rhyming in the hand of God over my town. Fools at the office, haven't got a clue could be anywhere any time of day. Bright as the morning, baby me and you lighten up as we go our way and we posses the day in my town, my town, my town, my town. Sleep while the city sleeps, wait till the morning. Dream while the city dreams of light. We always have tomorrow, time we can steal or borrow, just enough to know that it's all right. Come with me to the waves breaking where the sun's pouring into my town. In the sky there's a world talking as the birds revolve over my town. We don't got no money, we don't make the rules, hang around talking trash and we fade away. Lord ain't it funny, they think we're the fools while they turn on a buck and burn their precious lives away in my town, my town, my town, my town.

I'M STILL HERE I'm still here, yes, I'm still here You thought I'd run away when you hurt me that way But I'm still here And I ain't going nowhere, though maybe I should, I'm still here and I'm staying For good or no good. You say you don't know what love is Cause so many times you found out it was nothing. Just when you thought it was everything It crumbled and you fell. Now you wanna walk away and just leave me here Well I gotta say that it's just not that easy Cause I'm still here, yes, I'm still here You thought I'd run away when you hurt me that way But I'm still here And I ain't going nowhere, though maybe I should, I'm still here and I'm staying For good or no good.
